Description
Crisp, honey-sweet, and beautifully non-astringent, the Fuyu persimmon is Japan’s most beloved fruit for eating fresh. Unlike traditional heart-shaped varieties, Fuyu can be enjoyed while still firm – like biting into a radiant amber apple kissed by autumn sunshine.
Grown in the mineral-rich soils of prefectures such as Wakayama, Nara, and Fukuoka, our Fuyu persimmons are meticulously hand-selected at peak maturity from centuries-old orchards and award-winning farms. Each fruit is flawless: vibrant orange-red skin, translucent golden flesh, and a delicate sweetness that lingers with subtle notes of cinnamon and apricot.
- Zero astringency, even when crisp
- Naturally seedless or near-seedless specimens
- Sugar content routinely exceeding 18–20° Brix
- Individually cushioned and temperature-controlled from tree to table
